Gyms, Bouldering & More

Are you someone who loves to stay active and explore different sports around Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast? Whether you’re new here or just looking for new workout spots, I’ve got you covered.

Here’s my take on the best places to train, climb, and move around Sippy Downs.

Gyms in Sippy Downs

I’ve tried out three different gyms so far, and honestly, they’ve all been great in their own way. Here’s my experience with each of them:

UniSC Gym – Small but Mighty

The gym I’ve visited the most is UniSC Gym – for obvious reasons! It’s right on campus, super convenient, and has such a chill vibe. The staff are friendly, and I love how the gym is split into an indoor and outdoor area.

Something that really stood out to me at UniSC Gym? The music! Seriously, it’s the only gym where I actually noticed how good the playlist is.

Downside? The opening hours aren’t as flexible as other gyms in the area.

Anytime Fitness – 24/7 Access

If you’re looking for a gym that’s open all day, every day, Anytime Fitness is a solid option. It’s super close to Sippy Downs and has a wide range of equipment, from free weights to resistance machines and cardio gear. The gym is also known for its friendly community.

Snap Fitness – A Budget-Friendly Option

Snap Fitness is another 24/7 gym, but what makes it stand out is its affordable membership. If you don’t want to spend too much but still want a well-equipped gym, this is a great pick.

If you’re into bouldering, BouldMove in Kawana is a must-visit! The centre is well-designed with a variety of climbing walls for all levels, making it a great place whether you’re a beginner or experienced.

What makes it even better? The cozy in-house café! It’s perfect for refueling after a session.

Pilates – Strength & Flexibility Combined

Pilates has been on my list of things to try, and KX Pilates Mooloolaba seems to be a top-rated option nearby. It offers reformer Pilates, which is great for building core strength, improving flexibility, and toning muscles. Plus, it’s a great alternative to high-impact workouts.

Tennis is always a great way to mix up your workouts, and Ballinger Park Tennis Club in Buderim is a fantastic place to play. They offer casual court hire, coaching, and social tennis events.
